One of the coolest parks in Texas is Dinosaur Valley State Park. Near Glen Rose, Texas it sits on the eastern edge of the Hill Country region with plenty of wild flowers in the spring. We camped in the park Easter weekend 2007 and returned a year later to camp at nearby Cleburne State Park with our friends the Ferris’.

Upon our return in 2008 a commercial attraction opened – Dinosaur World. DinoWorld featured dozens of life sized dinosaurs along a well layed out walking trail and it is great for kids.
